IndiGo had to cancel another 562 flights in the crisis on the seventh day as well

New Delhi: IndiGo Airlines is still unable to come out of the crisis situation, the series of flight cancellations started from last Tuesday which is still going on. On Monday, IndiGo canceled another 562 flights from six metro airports. This includes 150 flights from Bengaluru only. 560 of IndiGo's daily flights of around 2,000 were cancelled, many passengers were again put in trouble. Scenes like railway or bus stations were seen at major airports of the country.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation said that a total of 1,802 IndiGo flights were scheduled to operate on Monday, of which more than 500 flights have been cancelled. Out of the nine thousand bags of the passengers, 4500 bags have been handed back and the remaining bags will also be handed over in the next 36 hours. The ministry has also said that PNRs of 5,86,705 tickets booked between December 1 and 7 have been canceled and full refunds have been handed over. The total amount of which is Rs. 569.65 crore is Rs.
According to IndiGo, 1565 flights were canceled on Saturday, 750 flights were canceled on Sunday, the number was more than 500 on Monday. It is being claimed that this situation has arisen due to the new flight duty rules applicable from November 1. IndiGo passengers across the country are in dire straits. For the seventh day in a row, the situation remains dire and many passengers are stranded at the airport without food or water. In such a situation, the Supreme Court said that this is a very serious matter, we realize that the passengers must be facing problems including health. However, the Supreme Court refused to interfere in the entire matter. While the Delhi High Court is ready to hear the matter on 10th December.
On the other hand, there have been reports that the central government wants to set an example for other airlines by taking strict action against IndiGo. Due to which a big action can be taken against Indigo. This information was given by Union Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu in Parliament. On the other hand, IndiGo responded to the DGCA's notice and said that we regret the incident, we apologize to the passengers. 100 percent network has been restored, 91 percent flights are operating on time. IndiGo also made such a claim on Monday. Pictures and videos of the poor condition of passengers at various airports of the country are coming to the fore. In which most of the passengers were seen to be angry with the airlines.
