We are watching India-Pakistan every day,' US

Secretary of State Marco Rubio: On Sunday, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said, 'America is watching what is happening between India and Pakistan every day. Along with this, America is also watching the situation in other global areas where there is tension every day with India-Pakistan.'

Russia has not yet agreed to this for a ceasefire

Rubio was talking about the challenges of a ceasefire in the Ukraine-Russia war after the meeting of US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska. During this, he said, 'The only way to have a ceasefire is for both sides to agree to stop firing at each other, but Russia has not yet agreed to this.'

There is not a single day when we are not watching India-Pakistan: America

According to a PTI report, the US Secretary of State said, 'It is very difficult to maintain a ceasefire. We are monitoring the conflicts between India-Pakistan and Cambodia-Thailand. It is difficult to talk when hostilities are ongoing. Also, ceasefires can break down quickly, this is especially true in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, which has been going on for three and a half years. Therefore, America is focusing on a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine rather than a permanent ceasefire.’

Donald Trump’s efforts have brought peace to the world: Rubio

Along with this, in the interview, Rubio, referring to the recent military conflict between India and Pakistan, said, ‘We are fortunate that American President Donald Trump prioritizes peace. He has tried to maintain peace in Cambodia-Thailand, India-Pakistan, Rwanda-DRC. We will continue to use every opportunity to bring peace to the world.’

India’s clarification against Trump’s claim

Donald Trump has repeatedly claimed that his intervention reduced tensions between India and Pakistan. However, India has strongly opposed these claims, saying that all issues with Pakistan are resolved bilaterally and no third-party mediation is acceptable. India has clarified that no foreign leader has any influence on its military decisions.
