The Commerce Ministry is actively trying for new trade agreements at the global level. India is planning to sign trade agreements with 40 countries including Britain, UAE, Russia, Japan and South Korea to reduce the impact of tariffs on several sectors, including India's textiles.
GST reduction hint and promotion of domestic consumption
Meanwhile, Goyal stressed on using and promoting local products. He said that a proposal to provide major relief in it may be presented in the GST Council meeting to be held next week.
